A point of view, not a catalogue.

Maison Tojima is an independent publication about useful, well-proportioned objects. Home, desk, table and everyday routines share the same filter: a clear function, considered form and a sensible relationship between cost and usefulness.

Choose before recommending

We begin with the job an object does. Then we check dimensions, stated materials, exact pack contents and care limitations. A good photograph is not enough. When a listing mixes variants or leaves important facts unresolved, the selection stays on hold.

Say what we know

A merchant-stated fact is different from an editorial judgment, and neither is a hands-on test. We do not claim to have handled products we have not tested. We prioritize actual buyable products and publish product photography only when the necessary rights are established. Until then, the layout uses typography rather than synthetic product scenes.

Keep the market honest

The United States is our launch market. French guides are adapted around local use, including paper formats, measurements and electrical requirements. A US listing does not become a French offer through translation. When a local alternative is a different product, it must be identified as such.

Buy with fewer assumptions

Our purpose is to make the decision clearer, not to fill every surface. Sometimes the useful answer is to measure first, reuse an existing object or leave space empty. Merchant recommendations are included after product and seller checks. Product photography has a separate publication-rights gate.
